Graduado em Oceanografia pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Mestrado em Geologia e Geofísica Marinha pela Universidade Federal Fluminense e Doutorado em Geologia e Geofísica Marinha pela Universidade Federal Fluminense/Queen´s University Belfast. Vida acadêmica voltada para Geoquímica Ambiental, em estudos voltados para temas como metais pesados, hidrocarbonetos em corpos hídricos e contaminação ambiental. Atua a mais de 18 anos como consultor com foco no gerenciamento costeiro, em empreendimentos dos mais diversos segmentos como Energia, Óleo e Gás, Transportes etc, na elaboração de estudos ambientais e diagnósticos, com fins de licenciamento e remediação de impactos.
